Happy New Year and welcome to the second issue of New York Night Train webzine. Everything that could have gone wrong has succeeded in doing so in the time since Issue I. The second and most recent half of our feature devoted to the life, career, and music of guitar legend Kid Congo Powers. Covering1986 to the present, Issue One includes Kids discussions of his years with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Gun Club, Congo Norvell, Knoxville Girls, Kid and Khan, and Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds. He also discusses his collaborations with Die Haut, Barry Adamson, Make-Up, Mark Eitzel, Julee Cruise, and many more. You can listen to the Kid's story on MP3s or read their text transcriptions. You will also find MP3s of Kid's music, lyrics, a tour of his equipment, a profile of his right-hand man Jack Martin, and even his famous enchilada recipe.
