JACKIE ROMAN party pics of the JUNE 21 New York Night Train SOUL CLAP & DANCE-OFF at Brooklyn Bowl. JONATHAN TOUBIN threw down fast and bulbous soul and r&b 45s for dancing. Somewhere in the middle of the party 100 dancers were numbered, thee legendary Lenny Kaye of Patti Smith Group stepped in the DJ booth, Afghan Whigs/ Mighty Fine’s STEVE MYERS and TOUBIN got on the mics, and judges took the stage: determined by a distinguished panel of judges: Amy Franz of Super Wild Horses, Art Boonparn, Bunny Michael, Carly Rablais of Xray Eyeballs, Jaime Coon, Nancy Gardner, Nicholas Auguston, Phast Phreddie teh Boogaloo Omnibus of The Subway Soul Club, Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum! 1st place got $100 cash and 2nd got a $75 Metropolis Vintage shopping spree! Then everybody went back to dancing and bowling with JT and Mikey Tashtjian! GOOD TIMES!
