JACKIE ROMAN (http://jackieroman.com/) photos of New York Night Train’s SOUL CLAP & DANCE-OFF Saturday, March 29 , 2014 at Brooklyn Bowl Tonight was the 7-year anniversary of the party! JONATHAN TOUBIN threw down four hours of the finest and most exciting soul and r&b 45s in existence. Around 1AM glamorous and legendary NYC rock and roll couple Jon Spencer and Cristina Martinez (Boss Hog / Pussy Galore) took over the DJ booth, Mighty Fine’s STEVE MYERS got on the mics and BUST Magazine took the stage to judge the contest. Original Soul Clapper VASHTI WINDISH of and the first-ever winner RAUL DE NIEVES (from the March 2007 Dance-Off) joined them. The winners were both great and the 1st place walked away with $100 in cash, 2nd place got a $75 Metropolis Vintage shopping spree! It was a blast!
