Jackie Roman‘s excellent pics of New York Night Train’s SOUL CLAP & DANCE-OFF Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Brooklyn Bowl! JONATHAN TOUBIN threw down hours of wild 1960s soul and r&b ’till the wee hours. At 1AM the contest went down! Toubin moved to the mic, MTV’s MATT PINFIELD selected the tunes (and sang an a capella “Some Kind of Wonderful”, STEVE MEYERS (Mighty Fine) put in his two cents on the dancing, and the contest was judged by ALIX BROWN (Le Grand Shumba!), ANDY ANIMAL (Stalkers), DON BOLLES (The Germs!), LIANA LE (Marie Robinson), WILL BERMAN (MGMT), and two surprise guests!
