August 4

Awesome Color, The Suckers, The Woods - 289 Kent Ave (between 1st and 2nd www.brookebaxter.com/glasshousegallery)

The Glass House, one of New York's most underground and adventurous live music venues and art galleries, is opening its doors tonight for the first time in months.... Sort of... It has relocated into another room in the same building. While the new Glass House is still unfinished and will be rechristened, head honcho Brooke Baxter is throwing a big party to welcome Michigan-to-Brooklyn transplants Awesome Color back home from a substantial national tour. Apparently the Color is no longer only the thing to check out here but everywhere. But just because everybody else is in on the secret doesn't mean that you shouldn't still give 'em some love. Walk into the building's Kent Avenue entrance and you can catch 'em with The Suckers (Quinn Walker) and The Woods.
