June 2006: SPOTLIGHT ON...

GRAND MAL
The Gospel According to Bill:

Live At The Black Cat, Washington, DC - April 4, 1999
web-only, 2006

This free web-only live album contains ten tracks off of the board from a show at Washington, DC's Black Cat during a short tour with our label-mates Imperial Teen . The band at this point is Parker Kindred on drums, Jonathan Toubin on keyboards, Steve Borgerding on bass, John DeVries on guitar, and Bill Whitten on guitar and vocals. This nigiht is significant not only because it would prove to be one of DeVries' final Grand Mal performances, but it took place the night before the infamous incident that got the band permanently banned from Philadelphia. While it's not the highest audio quality, for a board tape it's amazing - and an accurate document of a typical live show from Grand Mal's mid-period...

And it's yours for the taking... Enjoy:
