CHRIS D AND THE DIVINE HORSEMEN

TIME STANDS STILL
ENIGMA 1984

CD Universe - Music, Movies, & Games At Low Prices!

Chris D, or Desjardins, was the lead singer for the long-lived early LA punk band The Flesh Eaters. Time Stands Still is essentially his solo record. As for the Divine Horsemen - they're less a band than a collection of studio guests. But Chris D has no shortage of notable friends. Not only do Kid Congo Powers and Jeffrey Lee Pierce make an appearance, but other guests include John Doe, Dave Alvin, Dan Stuart, Slim Evans, and everyone else that did time on the rootsier side of LA’s early 1980s punk scene.

This dark country rock record by Chris D of the Flesheaters was recently reissued by Atavistic with five songs from singles and compilations. The Divine Horsemen are less a band than a collection of guests. In addition to Kid and Jeffrey Lee Pierce, here you will find guest appearances by John Doe, Dave Alvin, Dan Stuart, Slim Evans, and others from the rootsier side of LA’s early 1980s punk scene.
